Kristeen Young is opening for us again on this tour. She has Jeff White on drums with her and they sound very powerful, especially for a two-piece. She is talented and charismatic - I hope that the world discovers her.
Monterrey was another excellent Mexican gig, although not as hyped as Mexico City. We played The Youngest Was the Most Loved for the first time on this tour. And we got to see some of Jesse's family after the show, including his mother Josie.
Monterrey as well is a lovely city, tucked against the mountains. It is smaller and more manageable than Mexico City and the quality of life here seems higher. We all know the problems of poverty, corruption, and emigration that face this country. Still I feel the beauty and sincerity of Mexicans and their culture and it's sad that tomorrow we leave Mexico behind.
Yes, but you'll be in Chicago next week and that has to be a little bit fun, right?
I've flown here (I'm in a Chicago hotel as I type this.) from Washington, DC to see Morrissey and you guys. I'm so excited that I have to stop thinking about it from time to time so I can regulate my breathing. :D
Any chance you guys will hang around after the show so we can meet you? I'm well aware that Morrissey takes off like a bolt of lightening afterwards, but do the rest of you ever sign autographs and mingle?

Oh, one more thing: If there's ANYTHING you can say to Morrissey to convince him to sing I've Changed My Plea To Guilty in Chicago on Tuesday... Please do. I LOVE that song and I've never seen him sing it live. I think it would break my heart... but in a good way.
Thank you, my dear. :)

Dear Mikey,
What a fantastic show!!! Of the 3 Mexico shows I enjoyed this one best. Thanks to you, Morrissey, and the rest of the band for visiting our country. I'm glad you can feel our passion and our beauty...though we are poor our faith in love is still devout! That's so cool that you got to meet some of Jessie's family. I did not know he still had family here in Mexico.

The show was amazing! I loved it! One of the best nights of my life!!! I shed a tear in one of the songs. The euphoria was overwhelming! (In a good way ;) )
PLEASE PLEASE tell Morrissey and the guys to come back one last time before he retires (I hope, of course, that he doesn't). That way I'll be able to get front row tickets! I just wasn't aware you guys were coming until it was already too late. (Sorry, it's just that many of my friends don't know the sublime music that Morrissey and you guys bring. They only know cheap teenage trash.)
I'm so sorry for all the booing after the comment of Guadalajara... Sadly, many people in this city are testosterone poisoned. Some even threw water bottles at Morrissey. :(
Anyway, you where great Michael!
Gracias Esteban!!!! ;)

Hello. I live in Mexico City and I was able to attend the three shows and the showcase at the Poliforum (I was even able to shake Steven's hand there). I just want to say you all guys made me very happy. Thank you for playing "Plea" and "Disappointed" (and finally "youngest" in the last show"). I was in Morrissey's first mexican show some years ago, but these three 2006 shows were to me much more emotional and personally significant. Please come back soon.

Hello,
Thank you for this fantastic blog!
I was just thinking, when Morrissey was saying that "the band can play very well" in the French TV interview earlier this year, he must've been referring to you largely.
I've been on 8 gigs from this tour so far and got really impressed by your performance!
By the way, sorry if that's common knowledge, but how did you start working with Morrissey and did you like his music prior to it? Just out of curiosity.
Thanks for everything and I'll see you in December!
(no songs requests for me :) I'll be happy with whatever).

Eh, forget the quality of life. The real question is if they show House.

Mr. Farrell,
Your keyboards have added so much to Morrissey's live performances. I am hoping you guys tour the US sometime soon.

Dear Mikey,
Don't worry about leaving Mexico behind because Greece is ahead. After Mexico, Greece will be a close second for you. Ask the other guys of the band and they will tell you. I'll be wearing my t-shirt "Panic" in Athens and hopefully first row.
Regards

You DID play "I've Changed My Plea To Guilty" in Chicago! Amazing! It was beautiful... so so beautiful. I was stunned! I didn't expect it.
Oh, and Morrissey told me to shut up for yelling, "You're beautiful!", as he was about to speak. A negative command has never thrilled me so much. I became dizzy!
You must update and write about playing in Chicago. Morrissey seemed so happy! (<- There's something people don't say very often.) It was one of the best nights of my life. My husband and I had stood in line for seven hours before the doors to The Aragon opened. It was such fun. Everyone was bonding and talking about what Morrissey and his music means to us. Moz fans are the nicest and most intelligent people in the world, you know. Does Morrissey know this?
You were great. The whole band was great. I was so impressed with just EVERYTHING. :D I hope you'll tour again next year. I'd love to follow you up the East Coast.
