Guadalajara

First of all, let me say that I love Mexico. I love the culture, the people, the language, the music...I feel a very special connection to this place. So last night's show in Guadalajara was very special for me. It was the kickoff to another leg of Morrissey dates and the crowd was one of the best.

There was a surge of excitement at the recognition of the show opener, William, It Was Really Nothing. Other highlights include Disappointed, Everyday Is Like Sunday, and Life Is a Pigsty. But the one thing I will always remember about this evening was the encore, Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want. As we started the song, the audience seemed to raise as one and sing the lyrics. The floor of the arena sparkled as hundreds held up cellphones to share the moment with others that weren't there. THAT was special...

Hi Mikey

I will definitely read your blog. I am fascinated to hear as much as possible by someone who is actually living the MOZ experience from the stage. Very happy about some changes in the setlist and particularly about playing "Disappointed". I am sure it will go down well everywhere !!
I could only day happier if MOZ would ever decide to sing ASLEEP or NOBODY LOVES US, but
his choices are fine by me. ;-)

All the best to you and the rest of the boys
for the rest of the tour.
I read somewhere that ROTT tour will kick off
in the USA in February 2007 ? Is that true ?

Take care and keep posting

Nice one mikey,
I am interested in hearing about the tour and the stories of different cultures you see. It must be quite an experience.
I saw you guys in truro and dublin and am going to the berlin gig...cant get enough...well its never enough.
Anyway I am loving the introduction of William IWRN to the set list. This song really means alot to me as I am friends with John Mackensie, Billy Mackensie's brother. " the rain falls hard on hum drum town " Yes this is dundee. And "Steven your STILL really something".
So cant wait to see you guys playig again, cause it is always a pleasure.
Keep on delivering a quality...which is rare.

keep us updated, nico

Wow I'm so glad that your writting a blog,it's nice to read your thoughts on the tour and other things.I wonder if you'll ever play "Roy's keen" or "He cried".The set is cool but I'm sure everyone has their favorites, and I'm sure it would be quiet the task trying to please everyone.Much love
